The Conversion of Ratisbonne, Alphonse Ratisbonne
This it is perhaps the most dramatic conversion story since St. Paul was struck down on the road to Damascus. On January 20, 1842, wealthy banker Alphonse Ratisbonne, a nonobservant Jew who had nothing but contempt for the Catholic faith, was converted by the Blessed Mother herself when she appeared to him in the Church of Sant' Andrea delle Fratte in Rome.
