The Holy Spirit
1.  Who is the Holy Spirit?

    The Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the Blessed Trinity who proceeds from and is equal to the  Father and the Son.

2.  When did the Holy Spirit come down on the Apostles? 

    Fifty days after the resurrection on Pentecost.

3. Why did the Holy Spirit come down on the  Apostles at Pentecost? 

     ~ To confirm  their faith 

 ~ To sanctify them 

 ~ To enable them to found the Church

  Piety:  strong devotion to God and honoring those who honor God
    
  Understanding: insights in the mysteries of the faith
    
  Counsel: insights in practical matters
    
  Knowledge: to know God and see him reflected in all creation
     
 Wisdom: right judgement particularly in the things of God
     
 Fortitude: perseverance or endurance of trials           
     
 Fear of God: great awe and reverence for God so that we don't want to offend Him  
        by sin.
