1.  Why  is the Sacrifice of the Mass  offered? 

  ~    To give supreme honor and glory to God 

    ~  To thank Him for all his benefits 

  ~    To satisfy God for our sins and to obtain  the grace of repentance 

  ~    To obtain  all other graces and blessings through Jesus Christ 

2. Name the reasons for the sacrifice of Mass. 

   ~   Commemoration: (remembrance) of the Cross 

    ~  Communion: reception   to obtain sanctifying grace 

     ~ Adoration: His physical presence among His people  

 ~ Salvation:  'He that eateth this bread shall live  forever'. John 6:58,59 

3. How do we assist at Mass? (DRAP) 

    Devotion, reverence, attention,   and participation in the liturgy as allowed. 

4. What are the chief effects of Holy Communion? (CIR-LIP) 

   ~   Closer union/ love of God and others 

    ~  Increase in sanctifying grace 
 
     ~ Remission of venial sin 

     ~ Lessening of inclination to sin 

 ~ Increased desire to do good works 

 ~ Preservation from mortal sin
